Rich Rockets Etc

Past Projects (Come and Gone)

My Vulcanite Level 1 Flyer "Live Long Etc.!"  Before and after refit with
extended payload section to carry electronics for dual deployment and
recording of altitude.
Test flight on a AT G80 with extended payload.
After many flights, on different sized motors, had it "Prang" into the ground from a
deployment failure destroying its self and its electronic payload.

My Level 2 Flyer "Light My Candle!" on its maiden flight to an altitude of
9683ft to softly land just a couple of hundred feet away.
Flew a Memorial Flight carrying ashes from a dear
friend that went Mach.  Many flights later was lost in the fields of McGregor, TX.
There is still a reward for it.  Here is the last shot of it on take off.

Present Projects (Waiting to Fly or Fly again)

My Level 3 Project
A little more sanding, replace the lost electronics, and paint it and we are ready to Go.
First flight will be on a Hybrid M960

Will re-enter my FF Icarus/Saturn Five after I make a few minor repairs
and redesign the main motor mount.  A little larger motor and make it
a Blue Thunder I think it will do just fine.

The warhead has an Adept Timer that when a pin was pulled
a few seconds later an ejection charge would go off to simulate a Nuclear
Blast.

Tiny Pteradactyl named "Tweedy Has An Attidtude" Single engine
flyer of G10 fins and PVC body tube.  Painted with a special paint
that sparkles.

PML's (Public Missiles Limited) two stage BBX (Black Brant 10)

Future Projects (Waiting in the Wings)

<Photo on Cosmodromes' site>
Cosmodromes 1/33rd scale Vostok, the one that carried the
first human being, Russian Cosmonaut Gagarin, into space.

The Mercury/Atlas from Estes is very close in scale to the Estes Mercury/Redstone I have done.
See the MR7 in Winning Models page.
Will build it as Friendship 7 which was John Glenn's ship.

It is also a close enough scale for the Cosmodrome Vostok above.

From Kosrox a 1/70th scale Saturn 1B.
Was a prize in the Model Building contest at NARCON 2002. I also won in the raffle Apogee's Apollo Capsule and tower that I will use to replace the balsa cone.
Also found the unstructions on-line on how to
2 stage it.
